Hi hello, meet your new favorite appetizer.
Remember when we used to get invited to parties? Rephrase: remember when we used to get invited to parties and I would stress for DAYS in advance about what to bring and inevitably panic and try a new recipe entirely out of my depth? Oh just me? Cool cool cool.
Really, though–once you have this recipe in your arsenal you’ll never go back. If you’re looking to win friends and influence people, ta da! This is it. Or if you just want their mouths full so they can’t talk to you, this is your go-to party trick. You’re welcome. 😜
Two ingredients, minimum effort, maximum flavor. Let’s get to it!
Boursin filled mini bell peppers
Ingredients
- 1 package Boursin cheese
- 1 package mini bell peppers
Instructions
- Wash and dry your peppers. While drying, prep a baking sheet with parchment and heat your broiler to high.
- Place pepper on your cutting board and notice how it lays naturally. Turn on the side and cut in half.
- Scrape out seeds and discard.
- Using the back of a spoon, fill your pepper half with Boursin. I find using the back of the spoon is easier to fill evenly and scrape off excess cheese.
- Place filled halves on baking sheet and broil.
- WATCH. YOUR. PEPPERS. I don’t know your oven. Mine broiled on high for 5 minutes. Yours might need 3, they might need 7. Pay attention and don’t walk away.
- Broil until most of your peppers have dark golden spots. These are NOT burnt spots! It’s the cheese caramelizing, which is good.
- Remove and let cool to your preferred temp. Then enjoy!
